After your item has sold, it's important to pack it securely and properly, to make sure it meets courier shipping qualifications and gets to your buyer in perfect condition.
How to Package your Shipment
Step 1: Pick Your Box or Container
Use a box, container, or packaging that's big enough to safely fit what you're sending.
Try to stick to standard sizes and you'll avoid paying fees for non-machinable packages.
- Use a container with enough room to add packaging material such as packing peanuts, bubble wrap, foam, paper, etc. and padding for fragile items to prevent items from shifting.
NOTE: If you’re reusing a box/container, make sure all old logos, shipping labels, and addresses are covered or blacked out with a Black Marker.
TIP: If you're going to use Priority Mail and
Priority Mail Express, the boxes come in standard sizes and you can get
them at your Post Office location or order online, free.
Step 2: Pack Your Box
Pack your container to protect your contents and make sure your shipment
arrives intact. Tape your box so that it closes flat without bulging and reinforce all seams and edges. Tape with a 2-inch wide packing tape.
Step 3: Address your Package
Write or print
address labels clearly with ink that does not smear. If your using a printed mailing label you can use that instead of writing on the package but make sure its secure. Make sure your shipment includes a return address for both you and your buyer.
Step 4: Choose a Mail Service
The best way to send your package depends on how quickly you
want it to arrive and its size and weight. KwykPix has a variety of couriers that offer a wide range of services. Depending on your products contents, size, speed, etc. gives you wide range of options and prices.
Step 5: Calculate & Apply Postage
Correct postage (weight and dimensions) helps your packages arrive on time. Shipping
costs depend on several factors such as Pounds/Lbs, Ounces/Oz, Length, Width, Height. When purchasing shipping on KwykPix enter your package information to the best of your ability, as correct as possible in order to get a proper shipping price and not delay your shipments.
NOTE: Couriers that dispute your shipping calculations can delay shipments and effect your ratings on KwykPix so we recommend use a Shipping Scale to get weight as close as possible.
- Extra Charges can be applied to your account if Couriers find your shipment didn't meet their measurements.
Step 6: Ship or Deliver Your Package
If you Purchased Shipping on KwykPix your Tracking Number is now entered into the system. your buyer has been emailed the Tracking Number and notified the status of their shipment, so it's time to ship. If you purchased the shipment elsewhere or delivered on your own, you need to Manually enter the tracking numbers or mark as Delivered and your buyer will be emailed the tracking numbers and/or notified the status of their Package.
