FRAUD

To keep all Members secure we have zero patience for Fraud. Online scams are on the rise. We do our best to keep all members secure. Those who bear false witness will not go unpunished.

        Buyer Fraud

If you receive suspicious emails or messages about a product in your shop or Deals you offer, take caution. If someone offers to pay with a cashiers check or pay more than listed it should raise red flags.
I had a trailer for sale in Los Angeles for $5000. A guy contacted me and said he would overnight a cashiers check from El Paso for $7000, giving me an extra $2000 to hold it for him to pick up. He promised to be here within one week; if he didn’t show I could keep the $2000 and just pay him the $5000 back. Sounds good? NO! Walk away. You probably just gave $7000 to a criminal you’ll never see and you get to refund the bank. If he does show to collect the trailer, you lost your trailer as well.

-Cashier Check Fraud could happen with in-store pickup or transactions done off KwykPix. Banks can cash a fake check. You are now liable to repay the bank and you have lost your item.

Ways they Scam & how to Avoid it
1. (Product not delivered) You send your purchased product and they claim “We never got it” even though they did. Always ship with a tracking number to keep track of your sale from the time it leaves your location to the time it reaches their door. Depending on the value of your product, it could be a good investment to pay extra for a customer Signature when your product arrives.
Buying Shipping through KwykPix is the most convenient for vendors by instantly entering tracking numbers into the system and alerts all via text/email upon the location of your sale.

2. (Return Abuse) Seen more with Instore Pickup but does take place with all forms of purchases. People will buy products such as clothing or tools to return them after wearing to an event or doing their repair.

-Vendors should post a return policy that gives them the ability to deny a refund or replacement if fraud is found. KwykPix offers vendors the ability to accept or deny refunds, returns, or replacements on your behalf when the proper policy is posted.

3. (Item not as Described) is a big time scam. It's recommended you take detailed pictures of the actual item being shipped before packaging and as it goes out the door so you have proof if a fraudulent claim is filed that the item you sold is not as described. Be sure to add NOTES to your product sale, so you have details in case a buyer tries to scam you again, you can report them and cancel the sale.

        Seller Fraud

If a deal seems to good to be true, it probably is. High value items at extremely low prices should make you wonder. If sellers are legitimate businesses offering great deals they have the ability to show their credentials by also having a Business Account and choose to be Verified and Exceptional via third party inspectors. You can check if they have these qualifications on their own Sales Page, if you wonder on their selling credentials. If sellers have been marked Verified and Exceptional you can have Buyers confidence.
